How to Use the Seki Edge Deluxe
1. Prep Your Nails
Best Time to Cut: Right after a shower or bath, or after soaking your feet for 5–10 minutes. While the Seki Edge can easily cut through thick, dry nails, trimming them soft prevents splitting and makes cleanup easier.

2. Positioning the Clipper
Flip and Rotate: Flip the top lever up and rotate it 180 degrees so it rests in the open, ready-to-clip position.

The Right Grip: Hold the clipper with your thumb on the textured grip of the top lever and your fingers supporting the base. Because of the ergonomic design, you don't need to squeeze with immense force.

3. The Right Cutting Technique
Cut Straight Across: To avoid painful ingrown toenails, always trim your toenails straight across. Avoid rounding the edges deeply into the sides of your toe.

Take Small Bites: Don't try to clip the entire toenail in one massive snap. Start from one edge of the nail and make 3 to 4 small, precise cuts across to the other side.

Leave a Little Length: Leave a tiny bit of the white nail tip visible (about the thickness of a dime) to protect the sensitive nail bed.

4. Smooth the Edges
The Seki Edge leaves a remarkably clean cut, but if you have any sharp corners left over, use a nail file to gently smooth them out, moving in one direction only.

🧼 Cleaning & Maintenance
To keep your clipper performing like a Japanese sword for years to come, follow these care steps:

Brushing: After each use, tap the clipper or use a small brush (like an old toothbrush) to clear out nail dust and clippings.

Sanitizing: Wipe the blades down with a cotton ball dipped in rubbing alcohol.

Keep it Dry: Never submerge the entire clipper in water or leave it in a damp environment. While it is made of high-quality stainless steel, keeping it dry ensures the pivot point never stiffens or rusts.
